The client is a Sydney Engineering Consultancy based in the Sydney City Fringe. It provides a range of Structural Design Engineering services.

It has partnered with a leading Architecture studio and has signifcant financial investment to ensure a sustained growth period over the next two years, a great time to join and grow into a role that will most likely lead to a Team Leader / Associate position in the not too distant future.

It is specifically busy at present in the Residential, Indsutrial and Commercial sectors working across projects of various size and scale, up to 50 levels.

It is led by an experienced Director, with significant industry experience gained both within Australia and overseas. He's an excellent leader, non-egotistical, down to earth and will be a great mentor to the team.

About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity with a fantastic boutique Engineering Consultancy, due to growth we are seeking a Senior Structural Design Engineer who has worked in a similar Engineering Consultancy role in Australia.

We are looking to identify someone who has worked on projects at least mid-rise in scale and involved in end to end processes, concept design through to construction and ultimately delivery.

The company has a supportive, family style culture, mentoring and training support is provided to everyone in the company.

About the candidate

Ideally you will have:

• A minimum of 6+ years of practical Structural Engineering experience
• Significant experience gained working in Australia
• Experience gained running projects from end to end
• Ideally experience working on the design of a variety of buildings and shoring, footings etc.
• ETABS software skill preferred
• Exposure to some form of post-tension concrete design would be advantageous
• Strong work ethic
• Team player, adaptable and flexible
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent knowledge of Australian Standards & Council design standards
• Demonstrated understanding of Engineering codes, construction standards, specs, procedures and construction techniques and materials
