Akkodis
Posted 2 days ago
Role Purpose
We're seeking a mid-senior Support Developer to own day‑to‑day application support and incremental enhancements across SharePoint 2019 (on‑prem), SharePoint Online, and the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse). You'll resolve incidents, deliver small changes, and keep environments healthy (including SharePoint on‑prem service updates/CUs). Exposure to Dynamics 365 Customer Service is desirable for light admin/config and minor fixes.
The role is part of a team that manages Sharepoint on-premise & Cloud, Dynamics 365, Power Apps both canvas and model-driven, and Power Automate cloud and desktop. We provide individuals the opportunities to expand their knowledge into new areas to broaden their experience and develop their career, whether that is within the Akkodis Service Centre team or the wider Akkodis.
Key Responsibilities
1) Support & Operations
- Triage, diagnose, and resolve incidents and service requests within SLA; provide clear root‑cause notes and prevention actions.
- Monitor platform health (jobs, flows, connectors, API limits, storage, search, timer services) and tune for performance, reliability, and cost.
- Participate in an on‑call/after‑hours roster for priority incidents (as required).
2) SharePoint (On‑Prem 2019 & Online)
- Administer and support SharePoint 2019 farms (Central Admin, services, web apps, site collections, permissions).
- Plan and execute on‑prem service packs/cumulative updates, security patches, and farm configuration changes with standard change control and rollback plans.
- Maintain solutions across SPO (sites, lists/libraries, content types, search, permissions), and support modernisation/migration activities.
- Build small enhancements: PnP templates, site provisioning, PowerShell automation; SPFx experience a plus.
3) Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse)
- Design, build, and support Canvas and Model Driven apps; maintain connectors, environment variables, solution layering, and error handling.
- Implement and support Power Automate flows (approvals, RPA triggers, notifications, ETL‑style data moves) with robust retries and exception handling.
- Model Dataverse tables, relationships, security roles, and business rules; maintain data quality, capacity, and auditing.
- Apply ALM best practices (managed solutions, branching, pipelines) and respect DLP/governance standards.
4) Dynamics 365 Customer Service (Desirable)
- Support minor configuration (forms, views, queues, assignment rules, business process flows) and small change requests.
- Assist with case management tweaks, knowledge articles, and integration points tied to Power Automate/Dataverse.
5) Integration, Security & Governance
- Build and support integrations using standard connectors (SharePoint, Dataverse, Outlook, Teams) and REST/OData/Graph where needed.
- Follow environment strategy, DLP policies, solution segmentation, and audit/compliance practices.
- Contribute to backlog triage, release notes, user comms, and knowledge articles.
6) Ways of Working
- Work in Agile/ITIL context: incident, problem, change; participate in stand‑ups, reviews, and retros.
- Partner with product owners and business SMEs to shape small enhancements that deliver quick value.
- Document runbooks, operational playbooks, and handover guides.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5-8+ years in Microsoft stack roles covering application support and incremental development.
- SharePoint 2019 (on‑prem) administration and support, including patching/service updates, farm ops, backup/restore, ULS/log analysis.
- SharePoint Online site management, permissions, hub/modern sites, content types, search.
- Power Apps (Canvas & Model Driven): building responsive apps, components, connectors, performance tuning, accessibility.
- Power Automate: approvals, HTTP actions, error handling (Scope/Run‑After), governance of connections.
- Dataverse: table design, relationships, security roles/teams, business rules, solution moves.
- Scripting/automation: PowerShell, PnP, CLI for Microsoft 365; basic Git/Azure DevOps.
- Solid understanding of change control, release management, and operational support disciplines (incident/problem/knowledge).
Nice to Have
- Power Pages or Power BI basics.
- Dynamics 365 Customer Service configuration experience (queues, routing, KPIs, BPFs).
- SPFx web parts/extensions; content migration tooling (Sharegate/AvePoint).
- API/Graph experience; on‑premises data gateway administration.
- Background in ALM for Power Platform (managed solutions, pipelines) and DLP/CoE governance.
- Knowledge of ITIL v3/v4 practices.
Qualifications & Certifications (Preferred)
- Power Platform: PL‑900, PL‑100/PL‑200.
- Dynamics 365 Customer Service: MB‑910, MB‑230 (nice to have). [1]
- Microsoft fundamentals: AZ‑900 or MS‑900.
- ITIL Foundation.
Tools & Environment
- Microsoft 365 (SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange), SharePoint 2019 farms.
- Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse), on‑prem data gateway.
- Azure DevOps/Git for work tracking and CI/CD; PnP/PowerShell automation.
- Monitoring/telemetry for flow runs, capacity, API limits; Service Management (e.g., ServiceNow/OpsGenie).
Success Measures (KPIs)
- SLA attainment (incident response/resolve, change success rate).
- Mean time to restore (MTTR) and first‑time‑fix rate improvements.
- Reduction in recurring incidents via problem management and automation.
- Stakeholder satisfaction (CSAT) and adoption of delivered enhancements.
- Compliance to governance (DLP, ALM, audit) and patch/update cadence.
Why this role will appeal
A chance to be the go‑to technical owner across SharePoint on‑prem/Online and the Power Platform, with room to broaden into D365 Customer Service and modernisation work (migration, automation, and platform governance).
