About the Role

We’re a warm and busy household of four (two adults and two children) based in Box Hill NSW, looking for a talented Private Chef to join us three days per week. You’ll take full care of our weekly meals - planning menus, shopping for fresh ingredients, cooking in our home kitchen, and keeping things tidy. We love wholesome, balanced, family-style meals that are both delicious and nutritious. This role suits someone who enjoys bringing creativity and care to home cooking, with the professionalism of a restaurant chef but the heart of a home cook.

Responsibilities

Plan and prepare fresh, balanced meals (mainly lunch and dinner, occasional breakfast)

Create weekly menus suited to family preferences and dietary needs

Shop for ingredients (groceries reimbursed separately)

Cook on-site, plate meals beautifully, and clean up afterward

Maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment

Occasionally cater for small family gatherings or guests

Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times

About You

Experienced as a private chef, family chef, or restaurant chef

Passionate about healthy, flavourful food with variety and balance

Organised, reliable, and able to manage your own schedule

Friendly, trustworthy, and comfortable working in a family home

Food Safety Certification required

Drivers licence preferred (for grocery shopping)

Schedule & Pay

Days: 3 days per week (flexible midweek schedule)

Hours: Around 6–8 hours per day

Rate: $275–$325 per day + groceries (depending on experience)
