About the role

This is a full-time Assistant Restaurant/Functions Manager role at the Bridgewater Inn, located in the charming town of Bridgewater which is only 20 mins from the city. Our newly renovated beer garden is stunning and attracting a lot of attention. We have just been awarded the best outdoor facility in South Australia and will be a sought after functions and events venue. Working closely with the Restaurant Manager, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the dining and function facilities while delivering exceptional customer service.

What you'll be doing

Assisting the Restaurant Manager in the day-to-day running of the beer garden and restaurant

Booking and running functions and events

Rostering and managing the front-of-house team to ensure exceptional service

Handling customer enquiries and complaints in a friendly and professional manner

Monitoring stock levels and placing orders as needed

Ensuring all health, safety and licensing requirements are met

Contributing to the development and implementation of marketing and promotional activities

Providing training and support to the front-of-house team

Deputising for the Restaurant Manager in their absence

Strong leadership, communication and customer service skills

Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities

Proficient in using restaurant management software and point-of-sale systems

Knowledge of food safety, liquor licensing and other relevant regulations

Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate required

A passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to providing an exceptional dining experience

Someone who is ready to commit to the role long term

Australian citizenship required for this position
