Role: Waste Collection Team Leader
Location: Rockingham
Hourly Rate: $60 p/h + penalties (Perm rate will be $96,700 annually)
Days & Hours: Monday - Friday
Job Type: Temp to Perm
Duration: Ongoing

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

• Sound time management and organisational skills
• Well-developed employee relations and interpersonal skills
• Sound leadership skills (Leading a team of 15 - 18 people)
• High level conflict resolution skills
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work with limited supervision in a team environment
• Sound knowledge of safety policies, worksite safety plans and traffic regulations
• Knowledge of maintenance procedures for waste plant and bins
• Knowledge of waste management practices, including a high level of skill in the operation of waste collection plant
• Considerable experience and expertise of the local government operations
• Experience in coordinating, supervising or leading teams in waste services
• Experience in a customer service related area
• Considerable experience developing WHS and worksite safety plans and procedures
• Considerable experience in the operation and maintenance of waste collection plant
• The trucks will be mainly side arm trucks and rear lift trucks

Qualifications, Certifications and Licences

• Relevant qualifications in front line management
• Current 'HR' class driver's licence
• Progressing towards Certificate III in Waste Driving Operations (Desirable)
• Progressing towards Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Desirable)
• Senior First Aid Certificate (Desirable)
