As our Team Leader - Homelessness, you’ll guide a passionate team of Engagement Workers to create meaningful connections, foster community participation, and support people on their journey out of homelessness.

A day on the job will see you:
Leading day-to-day community engagement and connection activities in line with our service model.
Building partnerships and networks that create opportunities for inclusion and belonging.
Supporting the ongoing development of our neighbourhood and engagement hubs.
Providing regular coaching, mentoring and supervision to Engagement Workers, helping them thrive in their roles.
Ensure person-centred, trauma-informed support is at the heart of everything we do.
Collaborating with our Intake Team to welcome new clients into the service and ensure a smooth transition.
Identifying and managing risks, incidents, and opportunities for improvement across the program.
Your application will go to the top of our shortlist you have:
A relevant qualification (minimum Cert IV) in Social Sciences, Social Work, or a related field, plus a National Police Clearance.
Proven experience supporting people impacted by homelessness, mental health, or other complex life challenges.
Sound leadership skills and experience leading teams
Strong understanding of Wellness, Recovery, and Trauma-Informed principles.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with empathy, genuineness, and professionalism.
Confidence to work both collaboratively and independently, with solid problem-solving and digital skills.

About Us
For 60 years, St Bart’s has supported people experiencing homelessness and severe and persistent mental health issues as they rebuild their lives. We started as a small homeless shelter for men and have grown into a progressive and inclusive organisation providing support to hundreds of Western Australian men, women and families across four key service areas. Our goal is to provide safe, supported accommodation and services to people who need it the most, regardless of background, age, gender or ethnicity.
