The Role

We are looking for a Head Barista to deliver a premium coffee program at our Collins Street venue. The right Head Barista will be experienced and passionate, with a strong work ethic and focus to deliver a memorable customer experience. This is a serious role for an advanced and passionate Barista looking to further their career.

This role requires you to:

As Head Barista you will provide quality, effective operational leadership to the team

You will lead by example

Manage rosters

Be responsible for recruitment and onboarding of new staff members

Adhere to costings and be responsible for stock control

Maintain staff levels and adhere to weekly budgets

Develop and support team members

Build and maintain a productive, respectful and fun working environment

Work with a leading specialty coffee roaster with an innovative approach to coffee

Be supported by an award-winning roasting team

Brew a range of espresso blends and single origins

Work with state-of-the-art coffee equipment including a Slayer Coffee machine

Position yourself to grow within our exciting company with future opportunities

You will be perfect for this role if:

A passion for specialty coffee and hospitality service

3 years’ experience working with specialty coffee

Exceptional barista skills (latte art, dialing in, trouble-shooting etc.)

A strong work ethic with a customer focused and positive attitude

The desire to engage with customers about our coffee, menu and brand

The ability to work minimum 5 days a week not including weekends
