Do you have a passion for plants and a knack for working in nature? We are a dynamic gardening company based in Belgrave South and we are looking for a qualified Team Leader to run a crew in our growing company. The type of work that we specialize in is the installation, development and maintenance of gardens. We have a stable base of clientele who we provide with ongoing garden maintenance. Approximately 70% of the work is located in and around the Dandenong Ranges and the other 30% is located around the eastern suburbs including Richmond, Malvern & Ringwood. We are looking for a highly skilled individual to grow with the company.

Qualifications & experience

Advanced plant knowledge

Prior experience with leading a team

Great communication skills

Exceptionally organised

Highly competent in carrying out tasks from start to finish with high quality results

Cert 4 in Horticulture or similar

Additional hardscaping experience beneficial but not essential

Ability to drive manual vehicle

Tasks & responsibilities

Leading a small crew with carrying out tasks such as pruning, planting, weeding, hedge trimming, lawn mowing, edging etc.

Ability to manage safe job sites, assign tasks, supervise and maintain a high quality of work

Provide support in scheduling, maintain a daily log book and coordination of junior staff

Demonstrate advanced plant knowledge and experience in order to recommend solutions to clients

Ability to identify and treat a range of plant pests and diseases

Evaluate and quote jobs when required

A desire to learn and grow your horticultural knowledge
