Workfast is looking for Mower Operators, Gardeners and Horticulture team members to Maintain Parks, gardens and Open Spaces in Epping.

• $34.50 per hour + Penalties + superannuation
• Immediate start with ongoing work
• Full-time opportunity for suitable candidates after 3 months

What you need

We are seeking someone with a background in gardening and landscaping, who takes pride in delivering high-quality work while maintaining a strong focus on safety. The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in horticulture, park and garden maintenance, or mowing operations.
• Must have experience using zero-turn mowers and ride-on mowers
• A valid driver's license and white card (MR license is a plus).
• A chemical certificate (preferred).
• A professional work ethic and approach.
• A commitment to delivering work to a high standard.
• A solid understanding and dedication to quality, environmental, and health and safety management systems.

What you will be doing

• Operate various commercial mowers, including out-front, wide-area, and zero-turn mowers, as well as other small plant equipment.
• Conduct weed and pest control through spraying and manual weeding techniques.
• Perform a range of horticultural tasks such as formative pruning and hedging of trees and shrubs.
• Carry out mulching and planting activities as part of planned programs.
• Use commercial small plant horticultural tools, including brush cutters, blowers, and hedge trimmers.
• Report all equipment and assets during each scheduled maintenance visit via technology.
• Maintain and ensure all sites are presented to a high standard.
• Adhere to all occupational health and safety policies and procedures.
