The Communications Centre is an exciting department at ECU and has multiple teams that service both Current and Future student enquiries. We are a passionate team and pride ourselves on providing exceptional experience to all future & current students.
Day to day you will be responsible for engaging with students via phone and email channels to guide them through their study journey at ECU. You will also be responsible providing an exceptional customer experience, problem solving and operating within our high performing values based and student first environment.
Within the Communications Centre, we have a service dog in our office environment. All staff employed within the centre are to be mindful of the dog's presence, and whilst we understand that some individuals may have allergies or fears of dogs, we are committed to ensuring a comfortable and inclusive environment for all our employees.

- Deliver exceptional experience in every interaction to our current students and the general public
- Provide accurate & relevant information in an efficient manner
- Provide first point enquiry resolution to every interaction
- Meet personal/team qualitative and quantitative targets

Key Criteria
- Customer service experience working in a fast-paced and busy team with competing priorities. Customer Centric Contact Centre specific experience is desired.
- Experience in using multiple enquiry channels (E.g. Phone, email, etc.)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail and grammar conventions
- Ability to work in a performance target environment
- Can-do positive attitude & enthusiasm
You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University’s values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Courage and Personal Excellence.

Availability & Onboarding
- Onboarding: Must be available full-time for two weeks at the beginning of December for onboarding and training.
- Ongoing availability: Successful candidates will be available for a minimum of 3 shifts per week throughout the year.
- Operating hours: Monday to Friday, between 8:30am and 5:15pm (hours may vary depending on peak and off-peak demand).
