As a Site Assistant, you’ll report to the Project Manager and play a key role in supporting daily site operations, assisting skilled tradespeople, handling tools and materials, and helping maintain a safe and efficient work environment. You’ll also contribute to project documentation and progress tracking, ensuring everything runs smoothly and on schedule. Key Responsibilities:

The duties of the construction site assistant will vary day to day, but generally include:

Assisting skilled trades: Supporting Site Supervisors and other tradespeople on site.

Site preparation and cleanup: Helping to set up and prepare a site for daily work and assisting with the cleanup of debris, waste, and tools.

Materials and equipment handling: Loading, unloading, and moving materials, tools, and equipment around the site as needed.

Safety protocol enforcement: Monitoring and ensuring that you always adhere to safety regulations and company policies.

Administrative support: Supporting the Project Manager with documentation, record-keeping, and tracking daily progress.

Communication: Confidently communicate with team members, contractors, and suppliers.

Skills and Qualifications:

Driver’s Licence – essential for daily commuting to and from sites

White Card – mandatory for working on construction sites.

Computer literacy – mandatory for data entry

Attention to detail – crucial for safety and quality assurance.

Physical stamina – ability to perform manual labour on-site.

Genuine interest in the Construction Industry – motivation and willingness to learn.

Desirable (but not essential)

Construction Certificate or other relevant qualifications.

Aptitude and initiative with machinery skills and tools

Forklift licence
