Machine Operator

• Casual roles with view to perm - ASAP starts
• Day Shift (6am - 2pm), Afternoon Shift (2pm - 10pm), and Night Shift (10pm- 6am)
• $36.14 - $46.98 per hour

The Company
Our client in Essendon Fields is hiring Machine Operators! Join a team creating sustainable, innovative acoustic products, from walls and ceilings to custom screens, made from recycled materials for customers worldwide.

Responsibilities and duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Operate, monitor, and set up production machinery, performing basic maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
• Conduct quality checks and ensure products meet required standards.
• Load raw materials, unload finished products, and handle bulk goods safely following proper procedures.
• Assist with packaging, labelling, and palletising finished goods.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area in compliance with company safety standards.
• Record production data and report issues, defects, or irregularities to supervisors.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Experience in machine operation or a similar production role, with mechanical aptitude and the ability to set up, monitor, and troubleshoot machinery.
• Knowledge of production processes, efficiency targets, and quality standards, with a keen eye for detail.
• Physical fitness and ability to safely perform repetitive lifting, manual handling, and other production tasks.
• Strong safety awareness, maintaining a clean, organised workspace, and following OH&S guidelines.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team..
• Flexibility to work different shifts, adapt to new equipment or procedures, and demonstrate reliability and a proactive attitude.

Hours & Pay Rate:

Day shift - Monday to Friday 6am till 2pm, Afternoon shift- 2pm till 10pm, Night shift 10pm till 6am
$36.14 - $46.98 per hour
