Assistant Manager – Shell Buronga Service Station

Location: Buronga, NSW

Salary: $70,000 p/a + Super

Hours: 40 hrs/week (including every second Saturday).

Join our team at Shell Buronga Service Station as an Assistant Manager, supporting the Store Manager and Director in the daily operation of a busy, community-focused service station and diner.

This is a hands-on leadership role where no two days are the same. You’ll lead by example — working across a variety of positions including barista, console operator, and short-order cook as needed during your regular shifts. You’ll also train, supervise, and support staff to deliver excellent customer service and maintain smooth operations.

What You’ll Do

Deliver exceptional service to every customer

Perform hands-on operational duties (barista, console, diner)

Supervise and train team members

Manage cash handling, POS, and EFTPOS operations

Assist with rostering, stock management including data entry, and supplier coordination

Ensure site safety, cleanliness, and compliance with all OHS and food safety standards

Act as Store Manager during periods of leave or absence

What You’ll Bring

Previous retail, service station, or hospitality experience (management preferred)

Strong leadership and customer service skills

Confidence with computers and POS systems (Microsoft Office skills a plus)

A proactive, reliable, and safety-conscious attitude

Flexibility to work across roles, shifts, weekends, and public holidays
