About the role

Fernwood Womens Health Clubs' is seeking an experienced and driven Assistant Club Manager to join our team at our North Rocks, NSW location. This is a fulltime role that will play a key part in supporting the overall management and operations of our vibrant women-only fitness centre.

What you'll be doing

Assist the Club Manager in overseeing all aspects of the club's day-to-day operations, including member services, staff supervision, and facility management

Provide exceptional customer service and support to our valued members, addressing queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner

Assist with the recruitment, training, and development of the club's team of fitness instructors and customer service staff

Support the implementation of marketing initiatives and special events to drive member engagement and community involvement

Ensure the club's facilities, equipment, and resources are well-maintained and meet the highest standards of cleanliness and safety

Contribute to the overall strategic planning and decision-making processes for the club

What we're looking for

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar assistant management or supervisory role, preferably within the health and fitness industry

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively motivate and manage a team

Excellent customer service orientation and the ability to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members

Familiarity with health and fitness operations, including scheduling, inventory management, and facility maintenance

Passion for empowering women to achieve their health and fitness goals

Flexibility to work a mix of daytime, evening, and weekend shifts

Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 3 months)

Proven sales experience with demonstrated ability to meet targets and drive membership growth

Australian work rights (permanent residency or valid work visa required)

Proficiency with computer systems, membership management software, and MS Office suite

Certificate III in Fitness or equivalent qualification preferred (not essential)
