Our client is looking for a Manager Facilities & Recreation who will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational management across Council’s Facilities Maintenance & Management, Sport & Recreation, and Property & Housing functions. The position ensures that Council’s assets, facilities, and recreational programs are well-maintained, safe, sustainable, and support community wellbeing.

About Central Highlands Regional Council
CHRC is the local government authority covering a large region in central Queensland including towns such as Emerald, Springsure, Capella. They manage major community infrastructure and services including libraries, aquatic centres, customer service centres, parks & gardens as well as providing essential utilities like water, sewerage, waste-collection and recycling services.

Role Requirements

• Experience working within local government or the public sector environment.
• Knowledge of relevant Queensland building, property, and asset management legislation and frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale infrastructure or facility upgrade projects from concept to completion.
• Demonstrated understanding of QCAT processes as they relate to housing and tenancy agreements.
