We're looking for a hands-on Assistant Accountant who can contribute across all areas of financial reporting while supporting system improvements throughout the business. You'll play an essential role in our day-to-day operations — and most importantly, you'll be a valued and trusted member of our team.

What you will do at ScorpionTech

● Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements, accounting workpapers and ensure compliance with BAS, Superannuation, WorkCover, Payroll Tax and HR. Liaise with external accountants, bankers, insurance brokers and building managers.

● Daily Processing: Manage and process ongoing financial transactions across multiple currencies, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, account reconciliations for key suppliers/customers and update daily cashflow reporting.

● Customer Service: Support customer service team with system queries and implementation of new CRM system, including continuous improvement.

● Office Administration: General office management, including office supplies, staff amenities and building co-ordination.

● Proven experience in a broad accounting role with strong hands-on experience in MYOB (preferred).

● Solid understanding of tax compliance obligations.

● Ownership and accountability to your work.

● Be comfortable learning and using new technology to improve business outcomes.

● Be detail-oriented, proactive and able to juggle multiple priorities.

● Be a great communicator and adapt to your audience.

● Must have qualification – accounting degree or commerce/business degree with proven experience in a broad accounting role.
