About the role

Weigh Auto Group is seeking an experienced and skilled Motor Mechanic (Technician) to join our team in Rockhampton and Yeppoon, Queensland. This is a full-time role that will see you working in a well-equipped workshop, providing high-quality maintenance and repair services for a range of vehicles.

What you'll be doing

Conduct comprehensive inspections and diagnostics on vehicles to identify faults and required repairs

Carry out scheduled servicing and maintenance tasks to keep vehicles in optimal condition

Repair a variety of vehicle components and systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, and more

Test repaired vehicles to ensure they are operating safely and efficiently

Maintain detailed records of all work performed

What we're looking for

Formal qualifications in Automotive Mechanics, such as a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology

Minimum 3 years' experience as a qualified Motor Mechanic, preferably in a similar workshop environment

Strong technical skills and the ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle faults

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities

Commitment to providing high-quality work and exceptional customer service

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

A valid driver's licence
