Tandem Partners are excited to be looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join a respected organisation in the aged care sector on a 6-month contract. This hands-on HR Business Partner role offers the opportunity to support a dynamic team during a period of growth and change, working in a fast-paced, people-focused environment.

The Opportunity
This is a highly operational role designed to provide practical HR support to a busy client services portfolio. You’ll be joining a collaborative People & Culture team and helping to stabilise and strengthen HR delivery during a time of increased activity and acquisition.

You’ll work closely with leaders and care teams to deliver generalist HR services, performance management, engagement initiatives, and support workforce change. This role is ideal for someone who’s confident in their HR expertise, enjoys being part of a close-knit team, and can hit the ground running without needing to take a highly strategic lead.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HR generalist support to a defined client group
• Partner with and coach operational leaders and care managers
• Support performance management and employee relations processes
• Assist with HR activities related to acquisitions and structural change
• Deliver engagement and workforce initiatives
• Offer mentorship and peer support to a newly promoted HRBP
• Be a steady, positive presence within a small, fast-paced HR team

What You’ll Bring

• Solid HR generalist experience in a business partnering capacity
• Proven background in the aged care or community health sector (essential)
• Exposure to acquisition or organisational change environments
• Hands-on experience managing performance and employee relations
• Ability to work autonomously and stay grounded in operational delivery
• Strong interpersonal skills, resilience, and a positive, can-do approach
• Tech-savvy and comfortable navigating HR systems

The Details

• Contract: 6 months (non-ongoing)
• Hours: Full-time, ideally 9am–5pm
• Hybrid: Onsite Monday, Tuesday and Thursday; WFH Wednesday and Friday
• Location: Moorabbin HQ
• Start: Immediate
