New Northcote is a brewhouse in Burwood East, focussing on great food, community, and awesome brews. Unique to the area, we offer a modern bistro pub menu alongside Golden Hills Brewery beers, creating a relaxed, quality-driven experience that’s become a local favourite.

Trading since 2019 at the Burwood Brickworks, our venue is well established and thriving. As we move into a new chapter, we’re looking for an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our small but mighty kitchen team into the new year and continuing to deliver exceptional food, fresh ideas, and great hospitality.

About the Role

Lead daily kitchen operations with a focus on creativity, quality, and consistency

Manage and mentor your kitchen team

Develop and evolve a seasonal, modern pub menu that complements our house-brewed beers

Oversee ordering, stock control, and cost management

Collaborate with management on events, menu specials, and venue activations

Maintain a safe, efficient, and compliant kitchen environment

About You

Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous in a busy pub, brewery, or casual dining venue

Confident leader with excellent communication and organisation skills

Passionate about local produce, seasonal cooking, and creative pub food

Calm under pressure and driven to deliver consistently great experiences

Team-oriented with a positive attitude and commitment to growth
