Play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing insightful financial reports, and supporting business decision-making. This position sees you as part of the management team to ensure financial integrity, cost control, and performance tracking across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).

Conduct general ledger reconciliations; ensure account accuracy.

Manage month-end and year-end closing procedures.

Prepare and lodge BAS, payroll tax, and other statutory compliance reports.

Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.

Monitor and analyse accounting data to generate business insights.

Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities.

Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.

Reconcile bank accounts; oversee accounts payable/receivable.

Lead with inventory costing, stock reconciliations, and cost control.

Provide financial input for ad hoc projects and business initiatives.

Abou You

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

CPA or CA qualification (or currently working towards it).

4 + years of experience in a similar accounting role

Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and compliance.

Proficiency in MYOB, Xero, or similar platforms (ERP experience is a bonus).

Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial modelling).

Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting
