The Opportunity

We’re looking for a hands-on Commercial Carpenter with sub-frame installation and cladding experience to join our on-site team.

This role blends traditional carpentry with metalwork and fabrication, working on projects that require accuracy, creativity, and technical versatility.

You’ll construct, install, and repair both timber and steel structures, architectural features, and fixtures — contributing to projects that shape Melbourne’s built environment.

Please note that while this position is predominantly on-site, there will be occasions when you will need to work from our workshops based in Tullamarine and Thomastown.

Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret detailed plans and workshop drawings

Measure, cut, and assemble both timber and steel components

Fabricate and install items such as:

Aluminium facade sub frames

Cladding

Structural frames and supports

Perforated and feature panels

Doors, window frames, and fittings

Architectural steel and timber features

Brackets, balustrades, and handrails

Operate tools and machinery for both woodwork and light fabrication

Maintain a high standard of safety, quality, and precision workmanship

Collaborate closely with workshop and site teams to meet deadlines

What We’re Looking For

Trade-qualified Carpenter or equivalent (Cert III in Carpentry)

Minimum 2 years’ experience in commercial or industrial environments

Proven ability to work with both timber and steel materials

Skilled in fabrication, cutting, grinding, and finishing

Ability to read and interpret workshop drawings accurately

Safety-conscious, reliable, and detail-oriented

Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills
