About the role
We are seeking an experienced Primary Student Services Officer to join our Student Services team, providing administration support to the College. The position is primarily responsible for the provision of administrative support to the primary school, and executive administrative support to the Head of Primary School. Excellent customer service skills, time management skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team are vital to this role.
Duties
As a Primary Student Services Officer, you will:
Provide administrative assistance to the Head of Primary School.
Manage and prioritise their appointments, emails and calendar commitments.
Manage parent and staff queries and expectations, in person or via phone/email.
Manage student absences.
Manage sign-in/out of students, and daily movements of students.
Provide a high level of customer service to the student body, prioritising their needs.
Receive incoming calls relating to students and families, take and distribute all messages efficiently to relevant staff, students and the College community.
Oversee and manage primary calendar throughout the year, and assist in arranging student and staff events such as excursions, outdoor education camps and parent teacher interview evenings, including providing support at College events.
Preparation of awards, student voting documentation and report cards.
Enter and maintain data in College databases and systems including TASS.
Assist and provide coverage for the Student Services Department in times of absence or need, as directly by the Student Services Coordinator or Heads of School.
Undertake other administrative tasks as required by Student Services Coordinator.
Ensure Primary School monies are transferred to the accounts department efficiently.
Maintain both manual and electronic filing systems to provide easy access to relevant student files.
Skills and experience required
High level communication and customer service skills
Ability to always demonstrate professionalism, discretion and confidentiality
Microsoft Office and database skills
Valid Paid Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
