MARS is partnering with an Australian organisation to appoint an experienced Company Accountant on a part-time basis (3 days per week). This role owns the end-to-end accounting function: accurate financial reporting, month-end close, payroll and tax compliance, and contribution to budgeting, forecasting and analysis.

The Responsibilities:

• Review and ensure accuracy of invoicing.
• Manage payroll processing across weekly and monthly cycles.
• Lead month-end processing and reporting.
• Oversee fixed asset registers and depreciation.
• Perform bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and consolidate financial reports.
• Manage inventory accounting processes.
• Oversee Accounts Payable.
• Support BAS and payroll compliance in collaboration with the Tax Accountant.
• Assist with quarterly audits, including reviews conducted by BDO.

The Requirements:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems; Xero experience desirable.
• Hands-on approach with high attention to detail.

To Note:

• Flexible working: 1 day in the office and 2 from home.
• Part-time - 3 days per week.
• Shorter notice periods will be favoured.
