The Company

Our Melbourne based client are an established organisation who develop automated robotic systems for mass production. They have partnered with a number of industry leading organisations in the industrial automation sector as they navigate unprecedented growth.

Responsibilities

• Develop system-level schematics documenting the electrical architecture at both system and sub-system levels.
• Lead schematic design, PCB layout and fabrication, and integration testing of instrument panels.
• Design, simulate, and test electronic hardware including power, serial, Ethernet communication, digital and analog circuits.
• Design cabling for AC/DC power, communication, and control.
• Design PCBs using Altium and lead design for manufacturing and testing.
• Design & develop hardware and software for manual and automated test systems.

Your Background/Experience

• Tertiary qualifications in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
• 6+ years’ experience in electronics design and development.
• Strong knowledge of EMI/EMC design and mitigation strategies.
• Solid experience in digital and analog circuit design.
• Familiarity with microcontroller-based systems and safety-critical hardware design.
• Experience with communication protocols such as I2C, RS-485, TCP/UDP.
• Proficient in PCB design and layout using Altium.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects from concept through to production
