Role Purpose / Responsibilities:

This role is responsible for leading and supporting the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the Institute’s Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) while building strong, respectful, and collaborative relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities, and organisations. You will;

  • Coordinate and track the delivery of RAP commitments, timelines, and reporting requirements
  • Facilitate cultural awareness, competency, and capability-building initiatives across the organisation
  • Engage with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders, Elders and community groups to strengthen partnerships
  • Support the RAP Working Group and Executive in progressing reconciliation initiatives
  • Develop and promote communication materials to share reconciliation progress internally and externally
  • Provide advice on culturally safe practices and inclusive policies
  • Represent the organisation at relevant community, cultural, and industry events

About you:

We are looking for applicants who have;

  • Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage (this is an Identified position)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures, and contemporary issues
  • Experience coordinating projects or community engagement initiatives
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with diverse stakeholders including community groups

Remuneration: This is a part-time (30:24 hours per week / 0.8 FTE), fixed-term position for two (2) years. The pro-rata base salary range (based on 0.8 FTE) is $85,101 to $92,584 plus super and generous salary packaging.
