Desert City is looking for a high-energy Recruitment & Workforce Coordinator to join our Fortitude Valley office!
We’re looking for someone who brings positivity, organisation, and a forward-thinking mindset to our team – someone who can keep our workforce running smoothly while helping us attract and onboard the best people.
We are a hospitality-focused business operating across the Resources, Energy, and Healthcare sectors in Australia. What You’ll Be Doing
Manage end-to-end recruitment: assess applications, conduct interviews, support onboarding, arrange and maintain candidate compliance
Collaborate with our Staffing Manager and Operations team to plan and forecast workforce needs, ensuring we have the right people, in the right place, at the right time
Coordinate the recruitment process and support hiring initiatives across all business areas
Maintain candidate and employee compliance records
Support general administration and day-to-day team coordination
Contribute to process improvements and workforce planning strategies
Go to sites in Brisbane from time to time to visit staff and clients
We are a growing company and as we grow we expect our people to grow in their roles also.
Experience and certificates that will make your application stand out include:
At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role or with transferable skills
Experience with workforce planning, rostering, or scheduling is highly regarded
Familiarity with Employment Hero or similar HR systems
Strong time-management, multitasking, and people skills
A certificate III (or any qualification – we just like seeing that you’ve studied!)
Experience using the Microsoft suite of products including Word and Excel
National police clearance and full Australian driver’s license (our clients require this and so do we)
Hospitality – you may not work in a kitchen or dining room anymore, but you understand our people that do!
