About the role

Huddle Therapy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team in Newcastle, NSW. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities by providing personalised care and support. This is a casual position, offering flexibility to fit around your lifestyle.

What you'll be doing

Facilitating social, recreational, and community engagement activities to promote independence and well-being

Providing emotional support and advocating for participants' needs

Documenting client progress and maintaining accurate records

Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and legislative requirements

Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic care

What we're looking for

A Certificate III or IV in Individual Support or equivalent qualification (preferred, not mandatory)

Relevant experience in the disability

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of people with disabilities

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Current First Aid certificate and National Police Check
