Believe Services' is seeking a passionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team in Cessnock, NSW. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with disabilities, empowering them to live fulfilling and independent lives. What you'll be doing

Assisting individuals with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks

Facilitating community engagement and social inclusion for the individuals in your care

Implementing personalised support plans to help individuals achieve their goals and maximise their independence

Advocating for the rights and needs of the individuals you support

Maintaining accurate records and documentation to ensure the highest standards of care

Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated and integrated support

What we're looking for

A genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and making a positive impact on their lives

Relevant qualifications in Disability Support, Community Services, or a related field

Experience in the disability sector, preferably in a similar support worker role

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, their families, and other stakeholders

A compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to meeting the diverse needs of the individuals you support
