We’re looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join our team.

About the Role
This is a newly created and exciting opportunity where you’ll work closely with management and staff, providing essential payroll support to our growing business.

We’re open to flexibility around set days and hours for the right candidate. The role is permanent part-time, working 2-3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities

Process weekly payroll with accuracy and confidentiality

Prepare and distribute weekly payroll and commission reports

Maintain employee records and support onboarding/offboarding processes

Assist with superannuation, award interpretation, and compliance

Provide advice and support to staff and managers on payroll matters

Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies

About You
You’re a proactive, detail-oriented professional who takes pride in accuracy and enjoys working as part of a supportive team.

You will have:

2–3 years of experience in a payroll position

Xero experience is essential

Sound understanding of award codes, statutory returns, and industrial relations

Strong numeracy, accuracy, and time management skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

A “can-do” attitude and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Building or construction industry experience (preferred but not essential)

Permanent Australian work rights
