about Us
We’re The Organic Collective: Hamilton Hill’s trusted organic food hub, serving Perth families with fresh, certified organic produce and pantry staples for over 25 years.
we’re a small, values-led team, grounded, community-focused, zero ego. We’re more than a shop, we’re a small, values-led team that believes in good food, good people, and good for the planet. Our mission is to make healthy, sustainable living simple, local, and human.
We’re growing and we need passionate people like you to help keep our retail operations running at their best.
about you
you’re hands-on, not clipboard and office. You lead by doing. To be successful in this role, you need to be a strong leader who thrives in a dynamic environment. You’ll have excellent organisational skills, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate what’s needed next. You’re proactive, great with people, and would love to work with a small team and fresh organic produce. You enjoy rolling up your sleeves, staying active, and creating a smooth, positive flow for customers and staff alike.
We’re not after just a body to fill a role.
Yes, we sell organic food — but we’re not chasing unicorns. This is a hands-on, active job for someone who leads by example, works well in a team, and shares our values.
We’re looking for a forward thinker — someone who can take responsibility, work independently, and genuinely wants to grow with us and be part of something meaningful. As we keep growing our mission to bring good food to the people of Perth, we’ll support you in growing your own goals too.
you’ll thrive here if you:
have experience supervising in retail / fresh food / hospitality
enjoy coaching the team and setting the pace on the floor
care about warmth, presentation and rhythm, not chaos or stress
like tidy systems, clear standards, and helping the team win together
are growth-minded, want a future manager/ops pathway, not a job to “fill time”
calm, organised and people-first
Passion for customer service and developing others.
Confidence with POS systems.
Capable and happy to be hands-on.
Aligned with our values and belief in doing things properly.
about the role

you’ll:
lead energy, pace, communication + customer care on every shift

step in on the till, guide the team, spot issues early and solve before they grow
ensure checklists are completed properly every shift
support onboarding/training, teach by example
Stock receival, rotation; work with procurement to minimise waste.
complete till reconciliation + handover with accuracy
respond promptly to customer feedback or issues — solutions-focused every time
Add to continuously improve systems and processes to boost efficiency.
