Publican | Bridge Inn Hotel

$90,000 Base Salary - negotiable based on experience + Super + Bonus Scheme + Tools of Trade (phone, laptop)

We’re on the hunt for a REAL Publican, someone who lives and breathes hospitality, leads from the front, and brings locals together by creating pub experiences they love.

Located at the intersection of Bridge Inn and Plentry Roads, the Bridge Inn Hotel has been a beloved establishment in Mernda since the 1890s. Originally conceived as a community hub, the Bridge Inn was designed to bring together locals and visitors alike. It serves as a welcoming destination where families, friends, and everyone in between can gather to enjoy a refreshing drink or indulge in a delightful meal.

We have recently completed a comprehensive renovation of our A La Carte and Lounge dining areas. Our extensive menu showcases the finest ingredients sourced from local suppliers and reflects the essence of our community.

This is a high volume, high quality F&B driven venue yet still has all the trimmings of your local pub including a sports bar with 40 screens and a theatrette style viewing area along with a well serviced gaming room.

A day in the life of a Publican:

• You know the locals by name, they reckon you’re one of their own, all while keeping a sharp eye on the P&L.
• You run the place like it’s your own modern-day home, keeping things safe, smooth, and compliant.
• You're the pillar of the local community and the driving force behind a high-performing team.
• You put out fires before anyone even notices there was smoke.
• You bring the vibe, the service, and the smiles – every shift, every day.

Inherent requirements:

This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About you:

You’ve got the experience, the presence, and the pride it takes to own a pub like it’s been yours forever. You're not just running a venue - you're living the Publican life.

Hold current industry RSA, RSG and Victorian Gaming Licence qualifications as per state requirements
