Part time | 20 hours per week, Tuesday to Friday | based in Subiaco
Are you passionate about empowering communities and building resilience through mental health education? Lifeline WA is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Community Engagement Coordinator to lead initiatives that strengthen community capacity and promote mental wellbeing across regional Western Australia.

Lifeline WA is the state’s leading provider of crisis support and suicide prevention services, supporting over 100,000 people each year through counselling, specialist programs, and training. As a not-for-profit, our mission is to prevent suicide, support people in crisis, and reduce the stigma around mental health. Our vision is a community free of suicide.
About the Role
In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our outreach efforts, planning, promoting and delivering events that bring Lifeline WA services into the spotlights across WA. You'll be the driving force behind community engagement activities that build local capacity to respond to mental health challenges. You’ll work closely with regional communities, local governments, service providers and our corporate partners to deliver tailored training and awareness events that empower individuals and groups to support themselves and others.
Key responsibilities include:
Building and nurturing relationships with community stakeholders, local leaders, and Lifeline WA partners.
Coordinating and promoting mental health training workshops, and awareness events that respond to local needs.
Managing all event logistics—venues, travel, catering, promotional materials, and merchandise.
Using your marketing skills to maximise community participation and visibility.
Conducting needs assessments and gathering feedback to ensure activities are impactful and relevant.
Supporting the delivery of major Lifeline WA events such as:
Telethon Family Festival
Pride Fair Day
Out of the Shadows Walk

About you
We’re looking for someone who is:
Experienced in event management and community engagement (essential)
Skilled in coordinating and delivering initiatives in remote or regional communities (essential)
A confident communicator who can engage diverse stakeholders
Self-driven and able to take ownership of projects
Flexible to work 3 weekends per year at our major events
Requirements
National Police Clearance
Working with Children Check
WA Drivers Licence
Proof of right to work in Australia
