Maintenance Fitter

Heat and Control is a well-known leader in the design and manufacture of industrial food processing equipment.

About the Role

Working as part of a small team, you will be responsible for the installation and servicing of a wide range of food processing and packaging equipment.

Key responsibilities include:

Installation, commissioning, and maintenance of wide range of food processing equipment.

Diagnosing and repairing food processing, inspection equipment and automated packaging equipment

Fault finding and attending breakdowns.

Remove, repair, replace, fit or assemble parts or components on large machinery and equipment including packaging equipment, feeders, chutes, hoppers, gearboxes, bearings, heat exchangers & processing machinery

Hot Work - MIG, & Stick welding skills required

Maintaining strict deadlines for project installations and handovers.

Providing customer training and support.

Supervising a team during installation.

About you

Mechanical Trade qualifications.

Restricted Electrical Licence/electrical circuit troubleshooting experience.

Strong fabrication skills (S/S TIG essential).

At least 5 years field support/maintenance experience

Ability to read and interpret mechanical engineering drawings (AutoCAD experience advantageous)

A valid Australian driver license, and Australian Permanent Residency.
