The Neurological Council of WA (NCWA) is a well-regarded neurological not-for-profit based at The Niche Lotteries House, QEIIMC, Nedlands with regional offices in the South-West, Mid-West and Great Southern and mobile teams in Peel, Wheatbelt and Goldfields.
We offer a unique leadership opportunity for an exceptional Clinical Nurse Manager to head our WA Neurological Clinical Services Division, which delivers state-wide community-based neurological nursing and health and disability navigation services for people of all ages living with any neurological condition or symptom.
Our Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) will:
Manage, develop and grow our team of 25 Community Neurological Nurses (CNNs) across our NeuroCare, NeuroKids, Neuro TeleNurse and NeuFriends Programs to deliver high-quality, evidence-based clinical care, maximise outcomes and impact, and optimise the safety, health and wellbeing of clients, carers & families.
Be responsible for the Division's clinical governance, compliance, audit, quality improvement, policy development, resource allocation, service innovation, research, records and data management, and drafting of submissions and reports to funders and regulatory authorities.
Build strategic relationships with key stakeholders and work in collaboration and partnership with hospital, health, community, aged and disability care professionals to deliver well-coordinated, multi-disciplinary person-centred care.
Engage in sector forums, professional networks, community events and regional outreach to improve public awareness and understanding of NCWA and neurological and brain health.

To be considered for the role, you will need:
Current unrestricted AHPRA registration with a minimum of 10 years clinical competency in nursing practice;
Minimum of 2 years nursing management or leadership experience with demonstrated success in strategic and operational planning, management and clinical excellence.
Extensive experience providing person-centred, evidence-based information, education, assessment, care, support and advocacy for patients, carers and families impacted by health conditions, ideally including neurological conditions.
Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including expertise and confidence drafting high level documentation for, and engaging with, senior executives, health professionals and service providers.
High proficiency in the management and use of technology and electronic client management systems.
Relevant WA Health immunisations and satisfactory worker screening checks.
Current WA drivers' licence with ability to undertake occasional intrastate travel.
This position is initially offered on a fixed term contract basis for up to 18 months, with extension subject to funding and performance.
