Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Manager – Quality & Risk to lead and enhance the organisation’s quality and risk management practices across a thriving aged care environment. This role will work closely with leadership to implement robust systems, ensure compliance with industry standards, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and safety. The successful candidate will combine strong clinical knowledge as a Registered Nurse with strategic thinking and leadership skills to drive initiatives that support safe, high-quality care and organisational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of quality and risk management frameworks across the organisation.
  • Oversee incident, complaint, and corrective action processes to ensure timely resolution and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, industry standards, and accreditation requirements.
  • Provide expert advice on risk identification, assessment, and mitigation strategies.
  • Develop, review, and maintain policies, procedures, and quality documentation to support best practice.
  • Lead audits, self-assessments, and quality improvement initiatives in collaboration with leadership and operational teams.
  • Facilitate quality and risk committee meetings, reporting on findings and recommendations to senior management.
  • Coach and mentor staff on quality, risk, and compliance practices, embedding a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Analyse data and prepare reports to inform strategic decision-making and risk management planning.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and regulatory bodies.

Your Profile

The ideal Manager – Quality & Risk will be a Registered Nurse with proven experience in quality, compliance, or risk management within aged care or community services. A professional, analytical, and collaborative approach is essential in this leadership role, with the ability to influence and partner with senior leaders to drive safe, high-quality care and continuous improvement.

  • Essential: Current registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in quality, risk, or compliance management within aged care, health, or community services
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, accreditation standards, and best practice frameworks
  • Demonstrated ability to lead quality improvement initiatives and implement effective risk management systems
  • Skilled at coaching, mentoring, and guiding teams to meet compliance and operational objectives
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and reporting skills, with experience collaborating with senior leadership and multidisciplinary teams
