Join an established regional WA contractor as a Compliance Manager and play a pivotal role in maintaining their commitment to excellence and regulatory adherence. This permanent position offers the opportunity to work alongside industry leaders, implement best practices, and contribute to the company's continued growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Management System Oversight:
- Maintain and improve quality frameworks based on ISO45001, ISO14001, and ISO9001 standards
- Manage the Internal Management System and collaborate with external auditor
- Conduct and oversee internal audits according to established schedules
Regulatory Compliance:
- Monitor and interpret relevant regulations applicable to the business
- Recommend and implement programs to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Review, create, and update policies and procedures as needed
Health and Safety Collaboration:
- Work closely with the WHSE Manager to develop risk assessments, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Verification of Competency (VOC) documentation
- Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) regulations and standards
Document Control and Management:
- Oversee the creation, formatting, updating, and review of all internal documentation
- Maintain a robust document control system to ensure accessibility and version control
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions
- Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging compliance trends
Stakeholder Management:
- Report directly to the Directors on compliance matters
- Collaborate effectively with the WHSE Manager and other department heads
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of ISO45001, ISO14001, and ISO9001 standards
- Strong understanding of WHS regulations, SOPs, and relevant Acts
- Proven experience in compliance management within the construction industry
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
