About the Role

Lawren Legal are currently seeking an experienced Senior Solicitor to join our Balwyn office. This is a general practice role with a strong focus on civil and criminal litigation. You will manage files independently, lead a legal team, and deliver exceptional client service in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage client files from initial consultation to resolution

· Supervise and mentor junior solicitors, paralegals, and law clerks

· Draft and review contracts, agreements, deeds, advice letters, and court documents

· Liaise with clients, agents, solicitors, barristers, and other stakeholders

· Conduct client interviews and provide clear, actionable legal advice

· Prepare briefs and engage with counsel as required

· Represent clients in court and tribunal proceedings

· Attend mediations, conferences, and negotiations

· Conduct legal research and stay current with legislation and case law

· Ensure proper file management and compliance with professional standards

Skills

· Full Australian working rights

· Admitted to practice in Australia with a current Victorian practising certificate

· Minimum 3 years’ post-admission experience in civil and criminal litigation

· Proven ability to supervise and lead junior solicitors

· Strong drafting skills for complex legal documents

· Excellent client interviewing and relationship management skills

· High-level written and verbal communication skills

· Strong organisational and time management abilities

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively

· Fluency in Mandarin is essential
