· Salary Range $120-$140K (commensurate with experience) + salary sacrificing options

About Us

The Family Violence Legal Service Aboriginal Corporation (FVLSAC) is a community legal service supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander victims-survivors of family violence and/or sexual assault across South Australia.

We provide legal advice, court representation, client support services, and deliver community legal education initiatives. With staffed offices in Ceduna, Port Augusta, and Port Lincoln — and a planned presence in Adelaide within the next 12 months — FVLSAC is expanding its footprint to reach more communities.

About the Roles

We are seeking two Senior Solicitors to join our leadership team and contribute to both service delivery and organisational growth:

Regional Senior Solicitor – based in either Ceduna, Port Augusta, or Port Lincoln (remote working options will be considered)

Adelaide Senior Solicitor – initially remote work until the Adelaide office is established (with the option of relocation assistance if moving to a regional office).

As a Senior Solicitor, you will:

Deliver high-quality legal advice, casework, and representation to FVLSAC clients.

Provide supervision and mentoring to junior solicitors and legal support staff.

Manage and provide leadership to the Client Support Officer team to ensure culturally safe, holistic, and coordinated support for clients.

Have oversight of programs that integrate legal services with community engagement, including Sista2Sista, Love Colours, Yarning Cards, and Healthy Relationships.

Support the Principal Legal Officer in meeting organisational performance targets and ensuring compliance with professional obligations.

Participate in strategic planning and contribute to service design as FVLSAC expands into Adelaide and beyond.

Represent FVLSAC at statewide and national forums to influence policy and build sector connections.

About You

You will be:

An admitted legal practitioner holding an unrestricted practising certificate in South Australia or eligible to hold an unrestricted practising certificate in SA.

Experienced in family law and/or related jurisdictions, ideally with exposure to family violence matters.

Confident in supervising staff and managing workloads within a small, high-performing team.

Skilled in balancing casework with community legal education and early intervention activities.

Committed to working respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, with strong cultural awareness and communication skills.
