About the VU Library Team:

Join a progressive, non-traditional library at VU as Copyright Coordinator, working directly with the Digital Services, Scholarly Resources and the University Archivist and the broader library. Victoria University Library is undergoing a period of exciting transformation including renewal of its services and spaces. The VU Library Plan 2024—2026: One VU, One Library Future Focused and Fit for Purpose is based on the strategic drivers outlined in the University strategic plan and outlines the library’s role in achieving these aims.

About the Role:

As Copyright Coordinator, you will ensure equitable, compliant access to VU’s digital and physical resources while fostering copyright awareness across our diverse community. You will design engaging educational programs, promote Creative Commons licensing and Open Educational Resources, and manage the eReadings platform to support seamless learning. Collaborating with Colleges, professional units, technology partners, and VU Legal, you will streamline processes, drive innovation, and make a lasting impact on teaching, learning, and research at a progressive, inclusive institution.

This role is being offer on a full-time continuing position (36.75 hours per week) at the HEP Level 7 classification and the salary range is $97,863 per annum - $105,932 per annum, plus 17% employer superannuation contribution.

You’ll be well-versed in providing copyright advice to teaching staff, students, and researchers, and confident in delivering engaging workshops that build awareness and capability. With a strong background in higher education, you’ll thrive on inquiry and enjoy distilling complex copyright issues into clear, practical solutions. We’re looking for a personable team player who works effectively within the Library and across the University. This is a fantastic opportunity to share your expertise in a diverse, fast-paced setting with meaningful and varied responsibilities.
