We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Laboratory Manager & WHS Co-Ordinator to join our engaging team!

The Laboratory Manager is accountable to the Science Leader for contributing to the effective and efficient administration of the science laboratories by providing to the Science Faculty a range of curriculum, laboratory and clerical support activities and for assisting the Deputy Principal to meet the school’s Work, Health Safety legislative requirements by providing para professional support which contributes to the safety of staff and students and the achievement of educational outcomes of students.

What you will do:

Contributing to effective teaching and learning through directly assisting teachers and students in a timely manner with demonstrations, practical experiments and laboratory techniques including the preparation of chemical solutions and practicals.

Ensuring a complete risk assessment is completed by all science staff before preparing and commencing a practical

Contributing to the safe working and teaching environment by maintaining laboratories and workrooms in a clean, safe and tidy state

Working closely with the Deputy Principal to oversee all WHS compliance and associated tasks.

Organising, reviewing and developing Safe Operating Procedures (SOP) and Risk Assessments in accordance with the WHS guidelines
