We are seeking an experienced and motivated Practice Manager to lead the busy general practice and ensure smooth day-to-day operations across clinical, administrative, and financial areas.
About the Role
As Practice Manager, you will play a key leadership role in coordinating our practice operations, supporting a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring a professional and welcoming environment for patients and staff alike.
You’ll oversee daily administration, HR, finance, compliance, and patient experience, while contributing to the clinic’s strategic growth and long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations, appointment systems, and clinical rosters
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, staff training, and performance
- Prepare and monitor budgets, payroll, billing, and financial reports
- Ensure compliance with accreditation, privacy, and safety standards
- Lead quality improvement and risk management initiatives
- Foster a culture of teamwork, respect, and excellent patient service
- Liaise with healthcare partners, suppliers, and external stakeholders
- Contribute to business planning, reporting, and practice development
About You
You are a proactive and organised leader with strong communication and problem-solving skills. You enjoy supporting a team and have a passion for efficient, patient-centred healthcare.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in medical practice management or similar role
- Strong knowledge of Best Practice or similar clinical software
- Understanding of Medicare, DVA, and WorkCover billing processes
- Excellent organisational, financial, and people management skills
- Knowledge of RACGP accreditation and compliance standards
Desirable:
- Certificate or Diploma in Practice Management or Business Administration
- Experience managing a multidisciplinary healthcare team
