Our client, a very large Federal Government Organisation, whose focus is on national security, emergency management, boarder control, immigration and multicultural affairs, require the services of multiple DataStage ETL Developer(s).

Duties of the DataStage ETL Developer

• Developing, enhancing and documenting procedures to assist with ETL production support;
• Analysing and resolving ETL production incidents;
• Undertaking data profiling, system analysis and impact analysis;
• Undertaking application development - design, development, testing and documentation of ETL processes;
• Providing development effort estimates for changes to existing applications and new applications;
• Providing Code Review and other Quality Assurance tasks for projects and for code delivered by the Section;
• Developing, maintaining and unit testing system components;

Desired Skills and Experience

• At least five (5) years previous experience working as an ETL Developer;
• Proven experience in development and solution design in an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) platform;
• Strong understanding of ETL standards, security and governance in a large enterprise wide environment;
• Demonstrated experience with the analysis/design phase of a Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC);
• Demonstrated experience in development and administration across an EDW platform;
• Ability to develop complex SQL queries and stored procedures as required;
• Experience with IBM Infosphere DataStage;
• Demonstrated experience with Scripting tools (Pearl, SQL, UNIX Shell);
• Skills in data science tools including Python;
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code for cloud environments.
