The Position
The Community Development Officer, reporting to the Principal Community Development & Advocacy, is responsible for developing, implementing and delivering a broad range of strategic and operational community-focused programs and initiatives. These activities and deliverables will positively contribute to improving community wellbeing and sustainable socio-economic outcomes, through a collaborative place-based approach with internal and external stakeholders.
About You
Diploma in Community Services or equivalent qualification/experience working in a similar role in a medium to large Organisation
Demonstrated knowledge and experience of Community Development, particularly in areas such as: arts and cultural development; health and wellbeing; children and families; disability and inclusion; and volunteers and community engagement in regional communities
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Well-developed planning, prioritisation and organisational skills with strong ability to work independently on multiple tasks to meet required deadlines
High-level computer literacy and researching capabilities
High proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, desktop publishing, email systems, and records management systems
Ability to demonstrate behavioural competencies
Must hold a current “C” class driver’s licence.
