About the role

Pearl Catering is seeking passionate and experienced chefs of all levels to join our dynamic catering team in Sydney. Suitable for full time or a casual chef, you will play a crucial role in creating exceptional dining experiences for our diverse range of clients. Based at The Mint, Macquarie street in a historical museum setting. Base hours are Monday to Friday with flexible shifts as well as additional opportunities in multiple venues or offsite catering.

What you'll be doing

Preparing, cooking and presenting high-quality dishes in a fast-paced catering environment

Collaborating with the team to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely service delivery

Maintaining strict food safety and hygiene standards

Assisting with menu planning and development

Mentoring and training junior chefs, as required

Contributing to a positive and supportive team culture

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a chef, with the ability to work in a fast-paced catering environment

Minimum of 3+ years chef experience required

Commercial kitchen experience in any setting is essential

Strong culinary skills and a passion for creating delicious, visually appealing dishes

Excellent time management and multitasking abilities

A commitment to food safety and hygiene standards

Effective communication and teamwork skills

Relevant qualifications or certifications in culinary arts or hospitality (desirable)

Australian work rights are required
