Your new role

Curtin University School of Nursing has a full-time (1.0 FTE) position available from January 2026 until December 2028 for a Project Officer to assist with various research projects.

In this role, you will facilitate communication among various stakeholders, support the creation of business cases and project initiation documents, and oversee the execution of project plans. Your key responsibilities will include tracking project activities against timelines, providing executive support for committees and meetings, addressing operational challenges, and identifying potential risks.

Additionally, you will conduct project research, draft documentation, and prepare reports to monitor progress and performance. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain high standards of professional conduct in line with the University’s values while being adaptable in fulfilling other related responsibilities as required.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Completion of a relevant health-related degree with subsequent relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience and/or education/training.
  2. Demonstrated organisational/project management skills with the ability to coordinate and implement project activities.
  3. Demonstrated interpersonal and oral communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with a diverse range of people and with cross-cultural sensitivity.
  4. Demonstrated effective written communication skills with the ability to construct clear and concise reports.
  5. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple and often competing tasks with attention to accuracy and detail within deadlines.
  6. Proven ability to work well in a team, including respecting difference, leading, supporting others, accepting direction, and working to group goals.
  7. Demonstrated research and analytical skills.

Desirable

  • Experience in a tertiary education environment.
