Qualified Industrial Electrician - PM Shift

Workforce Extensions Geelong is seeking a qualified and experienced Industrial Electrician to join the maintenance team at a leading food manufacturing facility in Colac. This is a permanent, full-time position on the afternoon (PM) shift, offering excellent pay and stability within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

About the Role

As a key member of the maintenance team, the successful candidate will be responsible for performing preventative and reactive maintenance on a range of industrial equipment across the site. This hands-on role will see you working collaboratively with other trades to ensure smooth operations and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine preventative maintenance and fault finding on plant and equipment
• Monitor, report, and troubleshoot equipment performance issues
• Complete electrical wiring, connections, and installations in line with AS/NZS 3000 standards
• Perform risk assessments and apply safe work practices in all tasks
• Assist in general mechanical or trade support as require
• Maintain accurate records and ensure workshop tidiness
• Participate in rostered overtime to support maintenance schedules

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• Current Electrical Trade Qualification (A Grade License)
• Proven experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
• Sound understanding of PLC systems, relay logic, and control systems
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Commitment to safety and compliance with WHS procedures
