About the Role

Reporting to the Team Leader – Planning Support the core responsibilities include:

• Providing excellent customer service to colleagues, ratepayers and members of the public by telephone and face to face in an effective, efficient and timely manner.
• Processing and maintain planning applications and Council information through databases.
• Preparation of correspondence and responding to customer enquiries relating to planning applications and the planning permit process.
• Assist with the relevant processes and procedures in accordance with Council's legislative requirements.

About You

• General knowledge of statutory planning and/or council procedures.
• Experience in a service field, or in areas requiring high levels of contact with the public.
• Well-developed skills in service delivery and administration procedures.
• Demonstrated experience in computer applications such as GIS, CRM, Outlook, Ci, highly regarded but not essential.
