About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join an award-winning manufacturer as a Management Accountant based in Dandenong South, VIC. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in providing strategic financial analysis and support to drive the company's growth objectives. As a full-time position, you will be responsible for a broad range of accounting and reporting duties within the management accounting and budgeting function.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and analysing monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts and budgets

Identifying and investigating variances, providing recommendations to improve financial performance

Assisting with the preparation of the annual budget and forecasting processes

Providing financial analysis and insights to support business decisions

Maintaining and improving financial reporting and accounting systems

Supporting the implementation of new accounting policies and procedures

Assisting with ad-hoc projects and other finance-related tasks as required

What we're looking for

Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline

8+ years of experience in a management accounting or financial analysis role, preferably within a similar industry

Strong technical accounting skills and understanding of accounting principles and standards

Proficient in financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting

Excellent analytical, problem-solving and data interpretation skills

Effective verbal and written communication abilities

Proficient in the use of accounting software and MS Office suite

Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
