Typical Assessment Officer Responsibilities:
- Assess and process applications in accordance with program guidelines, legislation, and policy frameworks
- Conduct research, data entry, and record management to support program delivery
- Provide accurate and timely advice to internal and external stakeholders
- Draft and review correspondence, reports, and documentation
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of assessment processes and procedures
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold APS values in all aspects of work
- Assist with coordination of projects, reporting, and quality assurance activities
What We Look For in Candidates: We’re seeking detail-oriented and professional individuals who can manage competing priorities while applying sound judgment and analytical thinking.
General Requirements:
- Australian Citizenship (mandatory)
- Experience in assessment, program delivery, or administrative support within the APS or a similar environment
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management or workflow systems
- Sound understanding of government processes, policy application, or compliance requirements

Casual Loading
