Qualifications & experience

Minimum 1st Class machinist or equivalent experience to undertake the responsibilities.

Proficiency in Mastercam or similar Cam software is necessary.

Proficiency or a desire to learn 4 and 5 Axis Milling is necessary.

Familiarity with at least 2 of the following 3, Fanuc, Heidenhain and Okuma Controllers is necessary.

Good working knowledge in the application of modern and advanced cutting tools.

The ability to work in and manage a production cell reliably and independently is absolutely necessary.

Possess a current driver’s license

Tasks & responsibilities

Setting up and running a variety of CNC mills.

Testing and modification of new programs. Designing and manufacture of fixtures.

Interface with Workshop Manager on process and procedure for jobs.

Proofing CNC programs off the controller and making necessary adjustments in Mastercam.
